To address the challenges cities now face, innovative tools and solutions are needed; therefore 100 Resilient Cities, pioneered by The Rockefeller Foundation, selected Jakarta to be part of their global network. The program aims to help individuals, communities, institutions, businesses, and systems within a city to survive, adapt, and grow no matter what kinds of chronic stresses and acute shocks they experience. 100 Resilient Cities unites experts from around the world to share best practices and like city strategies to strengthen a global community.
JPI will host the first Resilient Jakarta Conference in 2018. We will invite speakers and local stakeholders to engage in sharing sessions and dialogues. As a mediator between the public and private sectors, JPI believes that the Conference will serve as a participatory platform to make Jakarta a more livable city.
