Jakarta City Park: Access and How to Get to Jakarta's Most Popular City Park

Now that the pandemic is over, most people are certainly eager to fulfill various recreational desires that were delayed during the pandemic. The same goes for the people of Jabodetabek and its surrounding areas.

JPI's online survey, City After the Pandemic: How Will We Live, Work, and Play?, conducted in 2021 showed that 66.8% of respondents would like to visit natural attractions, such as beaches, parks, or urban forests, once the pandemic has passed.

Responding to the expectations of the citizens of Jakarta and its surroundings, since the pandemic, Jakarta has presented several new city parks and transformed several Jakarta city parks through revitalization. Not only do they offer recreational destinations that don't break the bank, some of the most popular city parks are also quite easy to reach by taking advantage of Jakarta's increasingly reliable public transportation.

Going Recreational with Public Transportation in Jakarta isGetting Easier and More Convenient

As has been widely reported, the Jakarta Provincial Government is working hard to provide increasingly efficient, comfortable, and integrated public transportation in Jakarta. Continuing the progress of public transportation facilities in Jakarta since the operation of the Jakarta MRT Phase 1, currently the construction of MRT Phase 2A is also underway.

Reporting from the official website of the Ministry of State Secretariat, on December 15, 2023, President Jokowi stated that the construction of the Jakarta MRT Phase 2A from Bundaran HI to the City was going well, and had reached 28.4 percent, exceeding the planning target of 27 percent.

Not only the construction of the Jakarta MRT, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is also improving public transportation facilities in Jakarta by revitalizing a total of 45 Transjakarta bus stops. This project has started since mid-2022 and is targeted to be completed this year.

How to get to Tebet Eco Park by Jakarta public transportation

Public transportation access to this soothing park in the middle of the hustle and bustle of South Jakarta is fairly easy. If using the Commuterline KRL, visitors to Tebet Eco Park from various directions of Jabodetabek can get off at the nearest station to the destination, namely Cawang Station. The journey from Cawang Station can be reached on foot for approximately 800 meters or by using an online vehicle.

If you get off at Kalibata Station, visitors can continue their journey to this city park with Mikrotrans JAK-18, Kalibata-Kuningan Station.

Tebet Eco Park can also be reached by Transjakarta bus. The nearest bus stop is Tebet BUMD bus stop which is about 10 minutes walk from the destination. How to get to Urban Forest Cipete by public transportation in Jakarta

Not only strategically located, this Jakarta city park that presents a beautiful atmosphere equipped with lifestyle facilities is very easy to reach by Jakarta public transportation. One of them is by taking the MRT and getting off at Cipete Raya MRT Station, which is about 200 meters from Urban Forest Cipete.

If you take the Commuterline KRL, the nearest station is Pasar Minggu Station, which is approximately 8 kilometers from Cipete Urban Forest. From here, visitors can use online vehicles or public transportation S11 majoring in Lebak Bulus by getting off at Cipete Raya MRT Station.

How to get to Urban Forest by Plataran by Jakarta public transportation

Located in the heart of Jakarta, public transportation access to this popular park is very easy, especially if you take the MRT. The nearest station is Istora Mandiri Station which is only about 300 meters from Hutan Kota by Plataran.

Visitors who take the Transjakarta bus can get off at the Gelora Bung Karno bus stop. From here, Hutan Kota by Plataran can be reached on foot for about 3 minutes.

Well, if you take the Commuterline KRL, the closest station to this city park is Palmerah Station which is about 3.5 kilometers away. From here, visitors can continue their journey using online vehicles.

How to get to Taman Mini Indonesia Indah by Jakarta public transportation

After the revitalization, TMII is on the list of Jakarta's most popular city parks. Jakarta public transportation that visitors can use to get to TMII is KRL Commuterline followed by JakLingko.

Another alternative is to take the Transjakarta bus and get off at the Taman Mini Garuda bus stop and continue the journey on foot for 20 minutes.

If you take Transjakarta bus corridor 7D, you can get off at TMII bus stop door 3 and continue your journey on foot for 3 minutes.
